Foothills Overlook painting acquired by Lending Library program

Very honored that my artwork “Foothills Overlook- Smoky Mountains” was chosen for the Metro Arts Lending Library Collection this year here in Nashville, Tennessee!

I am passionate about public libraries and I love that this program allows patrons to check out works of art for FREE!

Opening reception will be held on July 18th, 2024 from 5:30pm-8pm at the Mezzanine Gallery of Nashville Public Library’s Main Downtown Branch.

Metro Arts presents 53 new works from local artists to distribute across Nashville Public Library locations and will be available to check out with a NPL library card. View the entire collection on display until August 16th, 2024 at the NPL Downtown Branch.

A little about the work:

"Foothills Overlook" was inspired by one of my cherished drives near the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, a place that holds a special spot in my heart—where I spent my summers growing up. Many moments have been spent along the winding roads of the Foothills Parkway, where I've often paused at overlooks to witness smoky sunrises, enjoy tailgate picnics, and marvel at the beauty of sunsets or starlit skies. The mountains consistently serve as a source of inspiration for my artwork across various mediums, reminders of memory and place.

If you are in Nashville, I hope to see you at the reception this coming Thursday!

UPDATE- Check this painting out as a Nashville Public Library Patron HERE
