The "Cicada Return of Brood XIX" is an evocative acrylic painting celebrating the extraordinary natural phenomenon of the 2024 emergence of Brood XIX cicadas. Known as one of the largest broods of 13-year cicadas, their reappearance marks a significant event in nature's rhythms and cycles.

In creating this piece, I sought to celebrate the incredible phenomenon of Brood XIX's emergence and to draw attention to the beauty and complexity of these insects. Through vibrant colors and sparkly details, I aimed to convey not only the visual spectacle of the cicadas but add my own twist. This painting is a tribute to the marvels of the natural world and a call to cherish and protect the delicate balances within our environment.
